“Beginning in 2017 I started showing my art at the local libraries, yoga studios, and our community fundraiser Art On The Border…”

Biography: Sara C. Galbach

Nature and a need to heal inspires my art work. Art is a way of resting for me because it allows me to stay still and feel productive.

Creating art also releases the broken heart pieces of life I may have been holding on too I didn’t need.

I’ve always had a knack for art since grade school. I never stopped coloring! The irony, today adult color books are popular now!

I enjoy working with nature. Such as the flowers featured in my photographs, I grew from seed. Digging in the earth is an art form in itself and is so very nurturing and it’s a great work out.

When I’m not working outside or making art I’m practicing yoga or studying yogic philosophies.

I completed my RYT200 yoga teacher training 2019. Started my personal yoga practice in 2006 I’m not really counting up the time. Yoga, like art is a process.

My husband and I share a liking for photography. We now have two cats and a fish. My mother, Sally O’Dwyer, also an artist, gives me a healthy competition, as well as a great art companion.

I love the trees here, the critters, wildlife along the river. I love bright colors and textures. I’m a little all over the place. So many projects. And eventually I finish what I’ve started whether it’s beading, painting with oils & acrylic media, cutting out & gluing collages, & getting technical on the apps with photography enchantments.

You may have seen my works & oil paintings at the Fort Smith Public Library & local yoga studios.

I’m so very grateful for those past opportunities in our community and as ways to give back or pay it forward, I’ve donated a few art pieces towards animal welfare as I used to volunteer at the local animal shelter and veterinary clinic. Did I mention I love animals?…

I look forward to participating in upcoming exhibits this year 2022.

Let’s plan some time to art together or book a yoga class with me.

Thank you for reading this.

Computer work is challenging for me so it’s kind of a big deal this web page even exists! Talking about myself is strange for me to do. It’s also hard to put me in a box, i have too much to say. LOL

Peace, Sara G.
